Sospiro Trastevere - Ristorante & Terrace Bar

I had the carbonara with black truffle and the beef tartare with black truffle. The waiter gave a recommendation for a red wine that was super dry. It was a very interesting new taste. Great restaurant with great service!

The food here is incredible!!!!! Down a side alley it is the PERFECT date spot. The main roads can be very busy and loud but this was tucked away so perfectly that it was nice and quiet for my husband and I to have a lovely romantic dinner on our honeymoon. This is the third restaurant we have visited in Trestevere and by FAR our favorite!!!!! The service was excellent as well ! I had the rigatoni with fresh truffle, my husband had the XL breaded chicken, and we shared the fried bufalo mozzarella appetizer. Everything was absolutely delicious.

This spot in Trastevere is definitely a hidden gem. We tried the famous Tonnarello and a few of the other well-known places, and while they were good, the long lines can be a hassle if you don’t go early. Just around the corner from three of Tonnarello’s own restaurants, no lines, and yet it served the best dish of our entire trip. We started with the tartare with truffle, which was excellent. For the mains, we shared a truffle Carbonara, also very good, but the real standout was the Tortello stuffed with pulled beef, with a Parmesan cream (the white you see in the photo), and finished with a confit cherry tomato reduction. This dish was absolute perfection, and I can’t recommend it enough, if you come here, you must order it. The service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere cozy and inviting, and the prices more than fair. Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back here on my next trip to Rome.

Amazing! We decided to try this restaurant as our last meal in Rome and it didn’t disappoint us. Excellent service, great selection of wine and the food was so good! Please try the tortello stuffed with pulled beef it was beautiful the same with the tartufo tartar. Highly recommend!

Tucked away in a nice little alley, be prepared for some amazing Italian food, and even better service by Mimo and team. Highly reccommend for any occasion as prices are very reasonable to quality and experience.

We spend a couple of days in Rome and this was by far the best food experience we had. Every course was a 10/10 and the wine card is insane. Also the service was just perfect. Friendly and funny stuff. Mimo gave us the best time possible and served all our needs an wishes. Thanks a lot this place is definitely underrated and could be seen as a fine dining experience anytime.

We had a wonderful experience thanks to the friendly staff and especially Mohamed, our waiter. He was incredibly polite, helpful, and attentive, and gave us excellent recommendations. I especially loved the grilled octopus and the risotto – both were absolutely delicious. His service made our meal even more enjoyable. Thank you, Mohamed!

We had a really lovely meal here, through searching for nice spots to go - this one came up. We weren’t too sure what to expect, but couldn’t recommend the food enough - especially the selection of maritozzo’s! Friendly and knowledgable staff, would definitely recommend.
